SCOTT BRAMES / 215 ROCK CITY TRAIL – Mr.Brames appeared before the Planning Commission for approval of taking down the old chain link fence and replace it with a wooden treated pine fence that would not be painted and would match the existing neighboring fence. The Commission discussed the fence in detail. And Taylor Watson made mention Mr. Brames had several children and having a fence would be a safety issue. Arch Willingham made a motion to approve and Taylor Watson seconded the motion to approve and all in present voted in favor.
Mr. Bill Chapin appeared before the Planning Commission as representative of the Land Trust foundation. Mr. Chapin would like for the residences of Lookout Mountain to be aware of conservation easements tax credits on property located along the Pathway project. Mr. Chapin and the Land Trust foundation has knowledge of this in past dealing and feels that this could move the Pathway project along. The Planning Commission thanked Mr. Chapin for his forward thinking. Mr. Carstens suggested that Mr. Chapin present his idea to the City Council for consideration.
Mr. Carstens reported that the city has engaged a consultant to prepare study to determine the types of potential businesses that may thrive at the proposed town center. It was indicated to Mr. Carstens that the report should be completed within 30 to 45 days.
There was no further business so the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
